With the Orchestra of Abderrahim Mountassir
Mohammed Abdou was born on June 12, 1949 in the city of Derb in Southwest Saudi Arabia. This talented man started to sing melancholic airs when he was still a child, perhaps because of the difficultiesmetattheorphanagewherehelivedduring many years.
Following a participation in a Saudi amateur television programme in the early Sixties, his talent was discovered by composer Omar Kadrass who offeredtosponsorhim.
Admired by the Saudi and Gulf public during the Seventies, he continued his artistic travel beyond the borders by cooperating with many poets and composers from the Arab world. He became thus one of the best Arab singers of our time and was rewarded with many prizes
